We are looking for a driven economics or accounting student who wants to turn theory into practice. Our end customer is a growing Swedish brand that creates timeless jewelry and watches in classic Scandinavian design. With a focus on modern e-commerce and a strong international presence, they are now in an exciting phase of expansion.

About the position

As a junior accountant, you will be an important part of the company's Accounting & Finance Team. You will work closely with their Finance Manager and gain unique insight into how an international growth company operates from within. The role is operational and means that you will gradually take on more responsibility as you develop in your professional role. To succeed in this role, we believe that you are meticulous, structured, and enjoy working independently with your own responsibilities.

The position is a development role where you can grow professionally alongside your studies. With our client, you will not only have a part-time job but also an opportunity to build a solid foundation for your future career in finance. The work takes place in modern system environments with tools such as Visma.net, Shopify, and Oxceed.

This is a long-term consulting assignment, and the workplace is in central Stockholm, with working hours from 08:00 to 17:00. The extent is between 2-3 days a week, and the hours are adapted to lectures and exam periods.

Responsibilities

The role involves being responsible for ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and actively contributing to efficient financial processes.

  • Ongoing bookkeeping and management of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Booking of bank transactions, corporate cards, and daily cash.
  • Invoicing and accounts payable.
  • Assisting with monthly and annual closings and account reconciliations.
  • Participating in improvement projects and maintenance of financial systems.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is studying economics, preferably accounting, at a university with at least 18 months left of your studies
  • Has previous work experience in finance or administration
  • Has a good ability to communicate in spoken and written Swedish

It is a merit if you have

  • Knowledge of Excel
